Epson Adds Bright 2030 Home Projector

LONG BEACH, CALIF. – Epson recently amped up its home cinema projector assortment with the introduction of the PowerLite Home Cinema 2030, a highly styled FullHD 3D-capable model featuring many of the best features of previous Epson home video models.

Epson’s Home Cinema 2030, which is available now at a $999 suggested retail, is a 3LCD model offering 3D support based on RF-connected active-shutter style glasses.

The projector also includes MHL connectivity through an onboard HDMI port, enabling use with the Roku Streaming Stick and similar devices, in addition to offering a tethered connection to a smartphone or tablet.

The Home Cinema 2030 was designed to go up against other sub-$1,000 home projectors by offering high brightness and color saturation output.

An automatic iris makes the 2030 an inexpensive contender for darkened-room applications.

The projector offers a glossy white plastic cabinet with a top-mounted control panel and rear-mounted connection panel.

Light output is measured at 2,000 lumens in Dynamic mode, which is useable in areas with ambient light.

Living Room mode produces 1,670 lumens of output and Cinema mode delivers 1,450 lumens.

Connectors include support for USB thumb drives or other connected USB device and will support display of JPEG and PNG images directly from the projector.

The Home Cinema 2030 has a basic 2 Watt on-board mono speaker.
