Boca Raton, Fla. — Epoq Multimedia unveiled Monday what it calls “the world’s smallest video projector.”
The EPP-HH01 is a cube-shaped Pico class projector that is about the size and weight of a hen’s egg, the company said. The dimensions are listed as 39.6 millimeters by 56.7 millimeters by 57.5 millimeters.
The compact multimedia projector carries a $299 suggested retail and a $249 street price and is based on a “high brightness 0.44-inch LCoS chip” with native VGA (640 by 480) pixel resolution.
The LED light source produces between seven to 10 ANSI lumens of brightness and a contrast ratio of 80:1. The expected life of the LED array is said to be 25,000 hours.
Sound is produced by a built-in polyphonic speaker with full audio range.
The projector is due to ship in mid-November through a number of e-commerce accounts, starting with Gadgetcraver.
