EMP Expands Impression Speaker Series

Layton, Utah — Engineered Music
Products (EMP) has expanded its Impression Series of speakers to eight models
with the launch of the E56Ci center channel speaker, E55Wi surround speaker and
ES1010i powered subwoofer.

They join two tower speakers, a bookshelf
model, a center channel, and a powered sub.

The new $450-each E56Ci center channel, larger
than a current center channel, incorporates dual 6.5-inch woofers, dual
5.25-inch mid-woofers and a 1-inch tweeter to handle more power, detail and
clarity than the smaller center channel. The new model is designed for use with
the Impression series tower.

The $499/pair E55Wi is EMP’s
first dedicated on-wall surround sound speaker, which features trapezoidal shape
and bipolar driver configuration. It features dual 5.25-inch woofers, dual
1-inch tweeters, and dual keyhole mounts. The trapezoidal bipolar design angles
the woofers and tweeters 112 degrees away from each other, directing half of
the sound towards the front and half towards the rear of the room to deliver a
combination of imaging, focus and localization with spacious, all-enveloping
ambience, the company said.

The $599 ES1010i powered
subwoofer features dual 10-inch drivers in a bass-reflex cabinet. The drivers
are powered by an integrated 250-watt RMS amp. Features include variable level,
variable low-pass crossover, variable phase controls, as well as auto power
capability. Dual 3-inch flared tuned ports are mounted into the bottom.

Privately held EMP Tek is a sister company of
speaker company RBH Sound.
