City of Industry, Calif. — Camera maker DXG will ship a flash-memory-based 1080p HD camcorder with a $200 price tag to dealers this month.
The DXG-595V records 1,920 by 1,080 resolution video at 30 fps in the H.264/MOV format to SDHC memory cards (up to 8GB). According to the company, the unit can store up to eight hours of HD video on an 8GB card.
It also offers 32MB of internal memory.
The camcorder will feature a 5x optical zoom lens, 3-inch LCD and 8-megapixel still-photo capability.
