City of Industry, Ca. –
introduced Thursday the latest iteration in its lineup of high-def 3D-capable
camcorders.
Model DXG-5F9V (shipping now at $300 suggested retail) features
1080p 3D resolution. It can be purchased now at the company’s
or shortly through participating
retail partners.
The 5F9V features a sleek,
compact dual-lens design and records 3D and 2D videos and photos in 1080p/30fps
HD.
The video cam also has a built-in 3.2-inch glasses-free 3D LCD
monitor. The camera’s menu controls are said to allow easy adjustments for 3D
or 2D shooting, and to switch to a lower resolution video format such as 720p
HD at 60fps mode for optimal fast motion recording.
“With 3D content quickly
becoming mainstream, from movies to games to online networks, it’s evident that
consumers are drawn towards this exciting video format. Consumers can now
easily create their own 3D movies and view their videos glasses-free,” stated
Paul Goldberg, DXG USA sales and marketing senior VP. “Not only is this a great
3D device, it takes incredible 2D video and stills so users can take advantage
of both shooting choices whether they have a 3D or HD TV at home.”
The camcorder ships with
128MBs of internal storage capacity and includes an SDHC type 6 card slot
accepting optional cards with up to 32GBs of capacity.
The 5F9V connects to a 3D or 23 HDTV via an HDMI jack and included
HDMI cable. It also has a USB port.
The camcorder weighs 8.82
ounces, and includes 128MB of internal storage.
For still photos, the camcorder offers 5 megapixel image
resolution.
The 5F9V is powered by an NP-60 Li-ion Battery, and includes a
120x digital zoom range for 2D video (the zoom range in 3D was not available),
and 60x digital zoom for stills.
The camcorder is compatible with both PC and Mac computer
systems, and includes a self timer, LED flash, and optional remote control.
