INDIANAPOLIS — DVDO showcased at CEDIA Expo its Air WirelessHD system, an uncompressed wireless A/V transmission system that enables the delivery of full 1080p video and 7.1-channel lossless surround sound for 2D and 3D HD content.
The DVDO Air also transmits HDMI management and control signals, including commands from the Consumer Electronics Control protocol.
DVDO Air consists of a wireless transmitter, a wireless receiver, and a receiver-mounting clip that secures to the wall or to the top of an HDTV.
The system works with other professional-class DVDO switching and processing products such as the iScan Duo and Edge Green for FullHD interoperability across multiple manufacturer HD devices.
DVDO Air operates in the 60GHz frequency band, above those used by other wireless devices in the home or office, such as walkie-talkies, Wi-Fi systems, cordless phones and cellphones.
