Austin, Texas — Consumer electronics market research firm DisplaySearch will present its ninth annual U.S. Flat-Panel Display (FPD) Conference March 6-8 at the Hilton Torrey Pines in La Jolla, Calif.

The conference, which has drawn over 400 attendees each year for the past three years, will be comprised of general sessions with nearly 60 presentations covering the flat-panel display market.

Also slated are exhibits demonstrating the latest technologies and numerous networking opportunities including a Sports Bar Game Night on Tuesday, March 6, following dinner.

Panel sessions during the event will include the following:

·Industry and Financial Outlook: industry analysts, financial analysts and investment bankers assess the flat-panel TV market.

·A View from the Channel: a forecast for display applications featuring such leading retailers as Noah Herschman of Amazon.com, Dave Workman of the Pro Buying Group, Casey Crane, of Ken Crane’s Home Entertainment and Leslie Malone, of Tech Data.

·External Drivers: What Forces Are Fueling Demand in the Display Industry?: A look at various display market drivers including PC applications, semiconductor developments, automobile applications, video content, mobile phones, PMP and MP3 device makers.Speakers will include Samsung executive VP Jun Souk, Qualcomm vendor relations VP Mike Coad and UBS global asset allocation strategy executive director Jeffrey Palma.

·Managing the Next Desktop Monitor Replacement Cycle World Wide: A discussion of the future corporate and consumer adoption of bigger and wider displays, focusing on desktop PC monitors. Panelists will include: John Morris, HP displays business unit VP and GM; Joseph Virginia, Samsung semiconductor LCD business development VP; Phil Ventimiglia, Dell displays product group director; and Chris Connery, DisplaySearch monitor market research VP.

·Flat-Panel TV Technology & Market Outlook: New Advances and Rapid Growth: A session examining sales results and forecasts with a look at the latest TV technology trends including the outlook for 1,080p, deep color, TV prices and brand and channel margins.
