El Segundo, Calif. — DirecTV is undergoing a series of personnel changes.
The company’s president of sales and service, John Suranyi, has resigned effective today. Suranyi had been with DirecTV since 2004 and held his most recent position since 2005.
In a release announcing Suranyi’s departure, DirecTV CEO Chase Carey wished him well and thanked him for his efforts and contributions to the company
“He has solidified our position as the leader in customer satisfaction in the pay television business, and we’re looking forward to building on that base going forward.”
The release also noted that Michael Palkovic, formerly the company’s chief financial officer, has been appointed operations VP. In his new position he will oversee the company’s home service and installation network, call center operations, supply chain and other related activities.
DirecTV’s chief accounting officer since 2003, Patrick Doyle, has been appointed chief financial oficer.
Palkovic, Doyle and Paul Guardo, sales and marketing executive VP and chief marketing officer, will all report to Chase Carey, president and CEO.
