Digital Health, Fitness To Get CES Focus

Arlington, Va. –
The 2012 International CES will feature a digital health and fitness exhibition
and conference area.

According to the
Consumer Electronics Association (CEA), owner and producer of CES, the Digital
Health and Sport and Fitness TechZones is both a series of conferences designed
to educate and entertain CES attendees, and an exhibit area in the North Hall
of the Las Vegas Convention Center and World Trade Center (LVCC).

Karen Chupka, events
and conferences senior VP, CEA, commented, “The Sport and Fitness and Digital
Health TechZones will enable attendees at the 2012 CES to experience the latest
innovations in the growing digital health and fitness marketplace.” These
TechZones will be produced by Living in Digital Times, CEA said.

Speakers at the
event will include Martin Cooper, inventor of the first portable cellphone;
Emilio Pardo, executive VP and chief brand officer of American Association of Retired
People (AARP); Reed Tuckson, chief of medical affairs and executive VP of the
United Health Group; and Gregory T. Lucier, chairman and CEO, Life
Technologies.

Exhibits by
Alcatel-Lucent, Ant+, Continua Health Alliance, Scientific American, Omek
Interactive, Recon Instruments, Ideal Life, DeLorme, BodyMedia Fit, Polk Audio,
Scosche and United Health Group are scheduled, CEA said.

The Digital Health
Summit, comprised of 9,500 net square feet of exhibit space, will showcase the
up-and-coming market of digital health and wellness devices, related
applications and services. Other 2012 CES TechZones sponsored by Living in
Digital Times include:

Mommy Tech: an
area featuring products and services that reach and influence moms;

Silvers Summit: an
area highlighting products that keep baby boomers engaged, entertained,
connected and healthy;

Kids@Play

: a
showcase of technologies that educate and facilitate learning; and

HigherEd Tech: an
exhibit area featuring products and services for today’s students and the
educational institutions that serve them.

CES is scheduled
Jan. 10-13, 2012, in Las Vegas.
