D&H Slates Fall Show

Hershey, Pa. National IT and CE distributor D&H will hold its Mid-Atlantic Fall 2013 Technology Show on Oct. 30 at the Hershey Lodge and Convention Center here.

The event, which is expected to draw upwards of 1,000 attendees and over 125 vendors, is the final trade show of the year for the 95-year-old distributor.

Returning exhibitors will include Acer, AMD, ASUS, Canon, Casio, JVC, Mobile Edge, Panasonic, Pentax, Plantronics, NVIDIA, Samsung, Solidtek, Targus and Toshiba, while first-time manufacturers will include HDMX (Bluetooth audio), Location Based Technology/PocketFinder (GPS), OGIO (notebook bags), OSD Audio (speakers), QFX Electronics (headphones), Smart IT/OXX Digital (audio), Southern Telecom (cameras, tablets), and VisTablets (tablet accessories).

Highlights will include seminars from Cisco, Cloud Nation, HP, Intel, Lenovo and Microsoft, while Intel and Microsoft will join forces to present a 40×40-foot “Touch Experience Lounge,” which will serve as a hub in the center of the exhibit floor. An extension of Intel’s ongoing 14-city “Experience Tour,” the lounge will feature an assortment of Windows 8 devices to help familiarize dealers and installers with the hardware, applications and capabilities facilitated by a touch-based interface – and to explain how such products can best be incorporated into their sales models.

In addition, D&H Cares, the distributor’s employee-run charitable foundation, will conduct a raffle to benefit the Ronald McDonald House Charities of Central Pennsylvania. Attendees can enter by donating either $5 or a non-perishable food item.  The winner will receive a 50-inch display TV.

The show will also feature a prize for one attendee at each seminar consisting of a 21-inch Case Logic upright roller, and a grand prize Lenovo ThinkPad Twist convertible Ultrabook will also be awarded.

“This event will be full of intriguing elements, from the centralized, laid back lounge experience, to various Halloween-themed specials our vendors are preparing, right on to cutting-edge sessions,” said D&H marketing VP Mary Campbell.  “It’s a fitting wrap-up for what has been a flourishing year for our customer base, in which dealers are looking forward toward their next opportunities.”
