Hershey, Pa. - D&H Distributing will hold its Mid-Atlantic Fall 2011 Technology Show at the Hershey Lodge and Convention Center here on Nov. 2.

The national IT and CE distributor said the focus of the event will be on innovation and education, and will be highlighted by a hands-on demonstration zone for Ultrabooks.

To that end, the fall show will feature eight seminars from vendor partners on topics ranging from cloud computing to warranty services, and will again feature an Emerging Technology Pavilion where a new crop of innovations will be spotlighted. These will include Looxcie's "wear and share" video cameras, Newo/Amped Wireless' Wi-Fi products, Noetic's Bluetooth accessories, and Rocstor's high-capacity drives and encryption products.

Other vendor partners at the show will include Acer, ASUS, Cisco, HP, Intel, JVC, Lenovo, Microsoft, Panasonic, Philips, Plantronics, Ricoh, Samsung, Toshiba and ViewSonic. 

Approximately 1,000 attendees are anticipated, along with more than 150 exhibitors. Registration begins at 11:30 a.m., seminars start at noon, and the exhibit floor will be open from 3:00 p.m. until 8:30 p.m.

  The show's Ultrabook Demo Zone will feature multiple models from Lenovo, HP, Toshiba, Asus and Acer in this emerging category of slim and powerful portable PCs. Attendees will be able to test models side by side and rank them according to different categories including most stylish, most innovative, most versatile, most user-friendly and most enjoyable.

"These hands-on demos leverage D&H's ability to show customers, live and in-person, a variety of new analogous technologies at once, in a way that no single manufacturer can do," the company said.

D&H will also offer a roster of its own booths.  At the D&H Cares booth, representing the company's charity foundation, attendees who offer a food item or $5 monetary donation will be entered to win a 37-inch JVC TV, with proceeds going to the Hershey Ronald McDonald House. Other D&H booths will be devoted to home entertainment, gaming, home and outdoor living, credit, logistics and remanufactured goods.

Dealers will also be granted special exhibit-floor discounts on all purchases during the show, and the chance to win prizes including a grand prize 51-inch Samsung plasma HDTV, sponsored by Lexmark, and a number of HP PhotoSmart D11a printers, sponsored by HP.
