Harrisburg, Pa. – D&H
Distributing has been named Business of the Year by the Central Penn Business
Journal, a prominent business publication in the central Pennsylvania region, in
the category of companies with 101 or more employees.
Organizations in this competition were required to be
privately held, for-profit businesses headquartered in Adams, Cumberland,
Dauphin, Lancaster, Lebanon, Perry or York counties, or to conduct significant
operations in these areas. Winners would be established as “a leader,
substantial player or recognized innovator within its industry,” demonstrating
significant revenue growth, and “committed to the growth and development of its
employees and community.”
Applications were reviewed by an independent panel of local
business representatives from central Pennsylvania. Finalists were honored at a black tie gala on
Nov. 7 at the Hilton Harrisburg.
“We’re thrilled to be chosen as Business of the Year. It’s a
privilege,” said Dan Schwab, co-president of D&H Distributing. “We’ve made it a functional part of our
business model to provide a positive workplace for our employee co-owners, to
be a responsible and accountable member of the local environment, and to engage
with our community. We’re glad those efforts can have an impact on our staff
and on the larger central PA business ecosystem.”
