Denon’s Baker To Head D&M’s Expanded Latin America Effort

Mahwah, N.J. — D&M Holdings has selected Denon president Stephen Baker to head “a major expansion initiative” into the Latin American market.

Baker becomes sales and marketing senior VP for Latin America, a new post effective April 9, and will report directly to Bob Weissburg, D&M sales and marketing president. Baker will be responsible for sales and marketing of all D&M brands in Latin American countries, including Denon, Marantz, D&M Professional, Boston Acoustics, Snell, Escient and McIntosh. He will also be responsible for managing all D&M rep firms and distributors in the region.

Baker has been with Denon for 23 years, beginning as a regional manager and becoming president in 2003.

Weissburg said in a prepared statement, “There are immense growth opportunities for D&M in the Latin American market, and we’re fortunate to have someone of Stephen’s proven capabilities to help us realize this growth throughout our portfolio of brands. In addition to focusing on sales and marketing of all brands, Stephen will also be responsible for building all D&M brands and establishing systems for logistics, service and product development for the Latin American market.”

D&M Holdings has also named industry veteran Joseph Stinziano sales and marketing senior VP for Denon Electronics and he will report to Weissburg.

Stinziano is an 18-year veteran of the consumer products industry, who was with Sony Electronics for the last nine years, most recently as senior VP of the media and applications solutions division
