Denon Debuts Network Audio Player

Mahwah, N.J. – Denon
Electronics debuted its DNP-720AE network audio player on Friday.

The DLNA-certified
player, which retails for a suggested $499, is billed as a stand-alone music
streaming component designed to “meet the needs of everyone who wants to enjoy
the full benefits of today’s connected ‘digital universe.'” It features AirPlay
technology to enables users to stream from their iTunes music libraries, as
well as music stored on their iPad, iPhone or iPod Touch, using Wi-Fi.  

Users can also listen to
Internet radio, Rhapsody, Napster and Pandora.

 Features include a USB connector, full digital
processing, Wi-Fi Protected Setup (WPS), three-line OLED display, a remote app
to access and control music via an iPhone and iPod Touch, Control 4
certification and Ethernet connectivity.
