Round Rock, Texas — Dell yesterday introduced the Studio 14z laptop geared toward satisfying a student’s computing and style needs.
The Studio 14z is available in six colors, Black Chain Link, Midnight Blue, Spring Green, Plum Purple, Ruby Red and Promise Pink. Dell will donate $5 to the Susan G. Koman Foundation for each of the Promise Pink models purchased.
The notebook has a 14-inch widescreen and weighs 4.3 pounds. It has a $649 starting price and is available immediately via www.dell.com.

It also has the ability to charge a cellphone or other portable device via the USB port, even if the laptop is unplugged.
