Dell To Ship Nickelodeon-Themed Netbook

Round Rock, Texas – Dell today introduced a Nickelodeon-themed
netbook based on its Inspiron Mini 10v model.

The base model comes dressed in Nickelodeon’s well-known “green
slime” color, and Dell will have additional designs based on the Nick shows “iCarly”
and “SpongeBob SquarePants” available via Dell’s design studio.

The first models will go on sale at Dell.com and Walmart in
October. Pricing has not been set for the Nick models.

Kids will be able to personalize the netbooks with
Nickelodeon-themed wallpaper and icons, and a widget will directly connect the
netbooks to Nick.com.

The Mini Nickelodeon netbooks will include a desktop “animaticon”
linked to educational content from Whyville.net, where kids can actively
participate in educational activities and games sponsored by authoritative
organizations, such as NASA, Scholastic Publishing, the Center for Disease
Control and the Woods Hole Oceanographic Institution.

The netbooks weigh 3 pounds are have a 10.1-inch display. The
Inspiron Mini 10v can be configured with several Intel Atom processors, has 1GB
of memory, and either  a traditional,
hard drive or a solid-state drive for storage. Prices for the non-Nick models,
now available from Dell, start at $299.
