Dell To Ship Its First Ultra HD Monitors In Early ‘14

Round Rock, Texas — Dell will ship its first consumer-level Ultra HD monitor in early 2014, the company reported.

The UltraSharp 28 is a 28-inch Ultra HD unit that will ship in early 2014 with a sub-$1,000 price tag. The monitor will feature a pivoting stand, enabling it to be rotated into portrait mode, and inputs to display content from smartphones and tablets.

The unit will come with Dell Premiere Color and will support the major color industry standards, including 99 percent AdobeRGB, and will also have the ability to create custom color palettes.

Dell has also just started shipping two Ultra HD monitors for the prosumer market: the Dell UltraSharp 32 and 24 Ultra HD monitors.

The UltraSharp 32 and 24 are 31.5-inch and 23.8-inch displays and are priced at $3,499 and $1,399, respectively.
