DBL Adds Personnel

Scottsdale, Ariz. — DBL Distributing made a number of personnel announcements this week.

In the area of purchasing, the company promoted Richard Lee to purchasing director and appointed Bob Gregory as pro sound and home audio buyer. The company also recently appointed Tim Coakley as merchandising and purchasing senior VP.

As purchasing director, Lee will be responsible for DBL’s CE purchasing team. He will also maintain his position as the buyer on the home theater and memory product categories.

Lee has more than 20 years of experience in the CE industry. Before joining DBL, he was electronics video senior buyer for Electronics Expo. He has also held buying positions with J&R Electronics and R.H. Macy’s.

As senior buyer, new hire Bob Gregory will be responsible for the home audio and pro sound product segments. He most recently held the position of category manager at CompUSA. According to a release, he has also held several prominent buying and sales positions with companies including RadioShack, Smith Home Furnishings and The Federated Group.

Finally, as merchandising and purchasing senior VP, Tim Coakley will be responsible for leading DBL’s marketing, merchandising and purchasing initiatives as well as driving the company’s online marketing initiatives. He will also maintain and develop relationships with the company’s manufacturing partners.

Like Gregory, Coakley also hails from CompUSA where he was most recently merchandising VP. Previously, he held the same position at GoodGuys!.
