New York – Manhattan retailer DataVision hosted the official
coming out party for Samsung Series 7 Gamer laptop.
In addition to the laptop itself, the event starred former
N.Y. Mets pitcher Dwight Gooden, who signed autographs.
The Series 7 Gamer, which went on sale at DataVision last
week, is being featured in the stores’ Samsung laptop kiosk, said DataVision
president Albert Liniado.
Liniado said sales for the unit have been strong, with
several purchases being made by customers who intended to use the laptop for
CAD work in addition to gaming.
The 17.3-inch laptop is carrying an $1,899 price tag. It
features an Intel Core i7 Ivy Bridge processor, 16GB of memory, a 1.5TB hard
drive, Nvidia GTX 675M graphics card and 2GB of video RAM.
