DarbeeVision Boosts Surveillance Image Quality

Denver — DarbeeVision (booth 4022) will use CEDIA Expo 2013 Sept. 26-28 to unveil its Reveal technology, which is said to improve image quality for security/surveillance applications.

DarbeeVision said its Reveal technology enhances obscured details common in surveillance clips, reducing or removing fog, haze, snow and improving poor lighting conditions so that targets of interest can be seen more clearly.

The system uses parallel processing in a single chip, as an inline HDMI video processor.

DarbeeVision will also demonstrate the next generation of its popular Darblet video processor, the DVP 5100.

High-end home-theater specialists Salt Labs will be on hand in the Darbee booth to showcase its two products using DVP technology: the Halite and Ocule video purifiers. Both produce stunning images with heightened detail and depth that appear to jump off of the screen, DarbeeVision said.

Meanwhile, the company said Oppo Digital has licensed DVP for “the world’s first Darbee Visual Presence (DVP)-enabled Blu-ray player: the BDP-103D.

The BDP-103D produces image-enhancement processing in real time, to produce HD and up-scaled HD to 4K video.

The company’s DVP systems also will be demonstrated with gaming in 2D with DVP up-scaled to 4K (Cobalt), video surveillance footage with Reveal and DVP up-scaled to 4K, medical imaging with Probe up-scaled to 4K, and Lumagen’s HDMI video processor with DVP.
