Fountain Valley, Calif. — D-Link has begun shipping the Wi-Fi AC750 portable router and charger (DIR-510L), a device that lets users create a Wi-Fi hot spot and also acts as a rechargeable battery for mobile devices.
It will be available through Amazon.com, Frys.com and other retailers at a suggested retail of $99.99.
Features include simultaneous file sharing, 3G/4G/LTE modem connectivity, dual-band technology, and the ability to set up separate Wi-Fi networks on the each band. Its two built-in USB ports mean it can also stream content from a connected USB drive to multiple mobile devices using the free mobile app.
Universal Plug and Play and built-in DLNA server enable users to stream multimedia across devices, including smart TVs, gaming consoles and media PCs. The AC750 also has a built-in 4,000 mAh rechargeable battery to charge portable devices.
