D-Link Intros Video Monitoring System

Fountain Valley, Calif. — Networking manufacturer D-Link will ship a suite of new home-monitoring products to dealers this month.

The D-Life system lets consumers monitor their homes via the Web using up to four Powerline-enabled Internet cameras and a Web interface.

The DHA-390 starter kit includes a single Internet camera with a pair of color-coded Powerline adapters.

Consumers register the security camera online and manage their network via a Web-based interface. Features include VGA resolution recording at 30 fps, live video monitoring, motion-triggered email notification or motion-activated snapshots. Up to three additional cameras can be added to the system.

The camera features a built-in microphone, low-light video capture, and an adjustable, mountable camera stand. The DHA-390 will retail for $249. Additional DHA-310 expansion cameras will retail for $199.

The D-Life system is also compatible with the DHA-330 Internet surveillance video player, which features a 7-inch LCD screen and is Powerline-enabled for viewing D-Life cameras on the network. It has built-in speakers, touch-sensitive buttons and alarm-clock function. It will retail for $209.
