Salt Lake City – Control4
home-automation products will be included in the displays of MainStreet America,
a 14-acre year-round home show scheduled to open in mid-October on the
outskirts of Houston.
Promoted as the nation’s first
home product “theme park,” MainStreet America will be outfitted with a
two-story 44,000- square-foot guest center, cooking demonstration studio, a
custom-home building office, a home remodeling center, mortgage financing
services, an interior design studio, a specialty café and a childcare
area.
The Spring, Texas, venue will feature
12 fully furnished showcase homes equipped with home technology, appliances and
interior décor. Control4 systems will be featured in two of the homes: a 2,600-square-foot,
three-story, contemporary, LEED Platinum-certified town home and a
6,000-square-foot Mediterranean-inspired home.
The Control4 systems will control
lights, temperature, shades, door locks, music and entertainment from a
smartphone.
Control4 is working with local
integrator Randal Duncan of Data Smart to install the systems.
