Salt Lake City — Control4’s 1,400 North American dealers will be able to sell Hughes Network’s satellite broadband service under an agreement signed by the two companies.
The deal will enable homeowners in areas lacking DSL or cable broadband service to monitor and control their Control4 home-automation systems from PCs in remote locations or from cellphones. “The addition of satellite broadband to our portfolio will open up a new revenue stream for our dealers and a new sales channel for Hughes,” said Control4 CEO Will West.
HughesNet satellite broadband is available throughout the continental U.S. and serves more than 455,000 consumers and small businesses.
Control4 systems automate and integrate the control of home systems, including A/V entertainment, security, lighting and HVAC.
