Conn’s, the 47-store CE and majaps chain based here, reported that total sales for its first fiscal quarter, ended April 30, rose 11.2 percent to $118.6 million, while same-store sales grew 3.5 percent.
“We expected same store sales for this quarter and the balance of the year to return to more realistic levels,” chairman/CEO Tom Frank said in a statement. Comparable store sales for the preceding quarter had soared 11.7 percent.
He attributed the net gains in part to Conn’s power aisle programs.
