Hollywood, Fla. — Concord Camera jumped into the convergent digital still/video camera market with the announcement of its DV2020, a 2-megapixel still camera and MPEG-4 video recorder.
The unit can also be used as a Web cam, digital voice recorder and MP3 player.
The MPEG-4 video is recorded at a maximum resolution of 320 by 240 at 17 fps to the unit’s 16MB of internal memory or an SD flash memory card. The unit is housed in an aluminum body with a video camera form factor, and it features a 1.5-inch LCD screen with a resolution of 117,000 pixels. The screen is adjustable up to 270 degrees.
On the digital still side, the 2020 incorporates five scene modes, selectable white balance, center weighted metering, several flash settings and a 2x digital zoom (4x digital zoom for video).
