New York — A pair of flash-memory suppliers introduced new, high-performance Compact Flash cards to cater to the up tempo burst modes in today’s digital SLRs.
Advanced Media unveiled a line of UDMA-enabled 266x speed CF cards under the Ridata brand. The cards will be available in 2GB to 16GB capacities. The cards offer a read speed of 40MBps.
They will ship in December. Pricing was not announced.
Delkin Devices will ship a 16GB UDMA-enabled CompactFlash card to dealers this month boasting a 305x speed rating. It will retail for a suggested $399.
