Chicago – Cobra
Electronics will unveil two new CB radios at the Mid-America Trucking Show
(MATS) this week.
The show is being held
March 22-24 at the Kentucky Exposition Center in Louisville.
The Cobra 29 LX BT is
based on Cobra’s 29 LX CB radio platform, but adds one-touch Bluetooth
technology to pair the radio with the driver’s cellphone. It also has caller ID
that speaks the incoming caller’s info and displays it on the radio, and
text-to-speech conversion that lets drivers respond to incoming emails by
speaking.
Other features include 10
NOAA weather channels, 24/7 Emergency Weather Alert, a four-color selectable
LCD display and a noise-canceling microphone. It will be available for $169 in
May.
The Cobra 25 LX ($129,
April) has a four-color LCD display, day/night illumination with adjustable
brightness, a digital frequency display, advanced radio check diagnostics. instant
channel 9 and 19, and public address capability.
