Chicago — Cobra will debut what it claims is the first CB radio to offer Bluetooth at the 2008 Mid-America Trucking Show, March 27-29 in Louisville, Kent.
Drivers can now receive and place calls via their CB radio rather than their cellphone. Incoming audio is routed through the radio’s five-watt CB speaker making it easy for the driver to hear the caller and users can respond via a noise-canceling microphone. Drivers can also answer and end calls by pushing a button on the CB.
The new CB radio is called the A 29 LTD BT. It has four watts AM RF power output, the maximum amount of power allowed by law, and will be available in the summer at $189.95.
