NAPERVILLE, ILL. — ClearSounds Communications, which manufactures products for those with hearing impairment, launched three new DECT phones with sound amplification this month, including a model with built-in Bluetooth.
The iConnect A6BT amplified cordless phone has DECT 6.0 and Bluetooth, so consumers can pair their headsets to the phone. Features include a 2-inch LCD with adjustable contrast, caller ID, call waiting, 50-contact phone book, SOS button, one-touch speed dial, amplification up to 40dB, headset jack with amplification control, alarm clock with snooze and a vibrating ring signaler. Suggested retail is $189.
The CS-A400 DECT 6.0 phone also allows consumers to adjust amplification up to 40dB in both the handset and the speakerphone. It features 10 ringtones, caller ID, 200-name phone book, and one-touch memory-dial buttons.
Suggested retail is $149.
Finally, the CS-A500 has all of the same specs as the CS-A400, but it also adds an amplified digital answering machine. Messages can be accessed either via the base or the handset. Suggested retail for this model is $149.
In addition to these traditionally designed DECT phones, ClearSounds also manufactures phones that double as audio docks for use with iPhones and Galaxy smartphones, as well as Bluetooth and IR headphones meant for use while watching TV.
