San Antonio, Texas — Clear Channel Radio said its real time traffic network for GPS devices will now cover ten additional markets, bringing total coverage to 80 metropolitan areas.
ClearChannel’s Total Traffic Network now covers an area of 194 million people. New markets include Baton Rouge, La.; Colorado Springs, Colo.; Des Moines, Iowa; Ft. Pierce, Fla.; Greenville, S.C.; Harrisburg, Pa.; Huntsville, Ala.; Lexington, Kent.; Madison, Wisc. and Tulsa, Okla.
ClearChannel’s service is the most widely used in the personal navigation device (PND) market. It’s real time traffic customers include Garmin, TomTom, Navigon, Mio, Delphi, Kenwood, Clarion, Harmon Kardon, Panasonic, Siemens, and Cobra. The service is also used by BMW and MINI USA.
