Circuit City Plane Crashes

Pueblo, Colo. — A plane registered to Circuit City crashed and burned this morning as it approached Pueblo Memorial Airport on a refueling stop. There were no survivors.

Four of the six passengers on the twin-engine Cessna Citation 550 were Circuit City employees. No company officers were on board. Two crew members were also killed in the crash.

According to local news reports, the turbojet was one of two corporate planes that left from Richmond, Va., where Circuit City is headquartered, bound for Santa Ana, Calif. The National Weather Service reported low clouds, fog and freezing drizzle at the airport at the time of the crash.

Circuit City is withholding further comment pending notification of the families.
