CinemaNow Adds Films

Marina Del Rey, Calif. — CinemaNow will add day-and-date movie releases from Lionsgate for download and burning to DVD current with the DVD release in stores.

CinemaNow offers users the ability to burn downloaded movies to DVD on their PCs.

The Lionsgate films included in the new arrangement include “An American Haunting,” which is being released to stores and CinemaNow download this week at a $9.99 street price.

Other select titles from the Lionsgate library available this week through CinemaNow will include “Reservoir Dogs” and “National Lampoon’s Van Wilder.”

Additional select day-and-date movies from Lionsgate will also be available for Burn to DVD on CinemaNow.

“Consumers clearly prefer the burn to DVD option,” said Bruce Eisen, president of CinemaNow. “We are pleased that Lionsgate and other studios have embraced this service and are offering their films on a day and date basis with the general DVD release.”

Movies available to the burn-to-DVD service include all the additional features available on a standard DVD purchased in retail stores, such as full graphic menus, 5.1 surround sound, special features, language, remote control navigation, commentary tracks and bonus materials, as well as printable DVD label and cover art.

CinemaNow currently offers more than 100 premium movies and videos as part of its Burn to DVD service. The service currently includes selected movies and videos from Buena Vista Home Entertainment, Lionsgate, MGM, Sony Pictures, Universal, EagleVision and Sundance Channel.

Day-and-date content is also available from Universal through CinemaNow.
