Auburn Hills, Mich. — Chrysler said it will offer a DVD Rear Seat Video entertainment system in its 2002 model year minivans including Chrysler Voyager, Chrysler Town & Country, Dodge Caravan and Dodge Grand Caravan.
The DVD system, which goes on sale this September, will be offered through Mopar. It will come with a remote transmitter and an auxiliary input to accommodate a video camera, portable CD player and video game consoles. Suggested retail price for the DVD system is $1,650 plus installation, approximately $150. Chrysler will continue to offer a VCP system at $1,400 suggested retail price plus installation.
The new DVD entertainment system option will also be available to customers who purchased a 2001-model year Chrysler Voyager, Chrysler Town & Country, Dodge Caravan or Dodge Grand Caravan.
