San Diego — A second-generation Chocolate music phone from LG is slimmer and lighter than its predecessor and is available in two new colors, Black Cherry and Blue Mint.
The new 3.24-ounce, 3.85-inch by 1.87-inch by 0.67-inch Chocolate became available today through Verizon stores at $99.99 after a $50 mail-in rebate with new two-year agreement.
New features include a vibrating touch keypad, new Navigation Wheel with Trace Motion light, and support for 4GB microSD cards, up from 2GB.
Like before, users can download music over the air at $1.99 per song for two copies, one downloaded to the phone in Windows Media Pro format and one sent to the customer’s PC account in less-compressed WMA format.
Like before, the digital dual-band phone sports high-speed CDMA 1x EV-DO data technology, dedicated music keys, built-in speaker, 1.3-megapixel camera and video player. The standard 800 mAh li-polymer battery delivers up to 250 minutes of talktime or up to 350 hours of standby time.
