Minneapolis – Chief
announced it has partnered with SurgeX, a manufacturer of AC power-conditioning
and surge-elimination products.
The partnership will enable authorized Chief
dealers to purchase a new line of Raxxess-series racks bundled with SurgeX
technology.
Steve Durkee, Chief
commercial products VP, said in a statement: “SurgeX has a great track record
of providing unmatched protection technology and will enable us to help our
customers protect and control power anomalies that can adversely affect
equipment and system performance in any installation. Bundling SurgeX’s surge-elimination
products with our Raxxess-series racks is an excellent way to add value for our
customers.”
Pricing wasn’t
available, but a spokeswoman for the company said the racks should be available
in the fall.
