Chains Release New Round Of CE Promotions

New York – With Christmas little more than two weeks away, big
box chains are letting loose another round of CE sales promotions.

Best Buy

has resumed
its popular free smart phone offer on multiple models and carriers through
December, including a free iPhone 3GS available today only with a two-year
subscription.

The retailer is also holding a two-day sale starting today on
select TVs, LG Blu-ray Disc players, PlayStation hardware, laptops and other
items, and is offering weekly specials and “Deals of the Day” through the
holiday season.

Walmart

is similarly offering
discounts on gaming devices, HDTV bundles, Blu-ray players and PCs this
weekend. Saturday deals include a $278 15.6-inch Toshiba Satellite laptop with
2GB RAM, a 250GB hard drive and an AMD Sempron processor, while Sunday bundles
include a 46-inch Sony LED-TV and PS3 console for $998 ($798 with a 40-inch
model), and a $75 Walmart gift card with the purchase of an Xbox 360 console
for $299.

Sears

, a 46-inch
Sharp 1080p, 120Hz LED will retail for $900 Dec. 12-18, and a 42-inch Zenith
720p plasma TV will sell for $430 and Nikon’s L22Coolpix 12MP digital camera
will be marked down to $90, both on Dec. 17-18.

Sears is also offering an additional 5 percent bonus on all CE
trade-ins through

Gazelle

through Dec.
31.

Sears and Best Buy also continue to offer free shipping on many
CE items purchased online, while Walmart.com continues to provide free freight for
all CE orders.
