‘CES On The Hill’ Exhibitors Slated

ARLINGTON, VA. — The Consumer Electronics Association (CEA) announced exhibitors for the 2013 CES on the Hill, an invitation-only event providing policy makers the opportunity to interact with the technology companies and products.

CES on the Hill will run from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. on Tuesday, April 16, at the Rayburn House Office Building Cafeteria (B-357). Media-only tours of the exhibits will start at 5:30 p.m. and run throughout the duration of the event.

“Companies with extraordinary technologies were selected based on their product’s connection to today’s most pressing tech policy issues,” said Michael Petricone, government and regulatory affairs senior VP, CEA. “Members of Congress, key Hill staff and top media will get rare hands-on demonstrations of Ultra HD and new technologies for medical solutions, electronics recycling, energy efficiency and more.”

Selected CES on the Hill exhibitors and technologies include: American Automation & Communications, AT&T, BlackBerry, DirectTV, Dish, EcoTAM, Google, HealthSpot, HTC, Intel, LG Electronics USA, Livio, Microsoft, Panasonic, Pandora Internet Radio, Qualcomm, Samsung Electronics and Verizon.

New for this year, CES on the Hill will include a dedicated showcase area for exhibitors from the Eureka Park TechZone at the 2013 International CES, which showcased some of the hottest startups and entrepreneurs at the 2013 CES.

Eureka Park exhibitors at CES on the Hill include:

Dock-n-Lock: a safe driving system to prevent dangerous texting and talking while driving. Installs like a breathalyzer and requires the driver to “dock and lock” the phone before starting the vehicle.

FutureDash: EnergyBuddy home-energy monitoring system provides real-time feedback of electrical energy consumption through vivid dashboard displays on smartphones, tablets and computers.

Troop ID: a digital identification product that provides reputable organizations with a secure digital channel to provide benefits, services and skill training opportunities to service members, veterans and their families without fear of fraud.

In conjunction with CES on the Hill, the ninth annual Digital Patriots Dinner will take place on Wednesday, April 17.
