CES 2011: Lyd Technology Intros 2 Security Cam Kits

LAS VEGAS - Lyd Technology announced two new wireless security cameras at its booth during International CES on Friday.

The W701DK1 digital wireless security kit is priced at $199 and can reportedly work with four cameras. Features include audio and video recording, image capturing, network remote monitoring and a 10-meter night-vision range.

The USB receiver draws power directly from the PC, according to the company, and the camera is said to be waterproof.

The W387DB1 also can work with four cameras. It has a 200-meter transmission distance in an open area, and a 10-meter night-vision range. This kit is priced at $149.

Both kits are currently available for retailers.

Ramon Villa, a sales rep for Lyd, said the company is currently in the processing of enhancing its current SKUs to convert them from analog to digital. Lyd has been manufacturing and selling in China since 1999; it moved both manufacturing and distribution to the U.S. seven months ago.
