CES ’14 To Get ‘Wrist’ TechZone

Arlington, Va. — Reflecting the transformation of the standard wristwatch into a connected GPS, music player, health monitor and more, the Consumer Electronics Association (CEA) today announced WristRevolution, the newest TechZone at the 2014 International CES.

From downloadable watch faces to Internet connectivity and app-based programs, the WristRevolution TechZone will showcase the latest advancements in wristwatch technology. CES is scheduled to run Jan. 7-10, 2014, in Las Vegas.

The new CES show floor area will display the latest developments and discoveries for the next generation of tech wearables. Mixing style, sensors and connectivity, WristRevolution features wristwatches that double as a music player, health monitor, alert and message indicator and more, CEA said.

“Smart watches are creating new possibilities in the wearable technology market and increasing the ways consumers can connect with these pocket-sized devices. This exciting trend propelled us to create the WristRevolution TechZone,” said Karen Chupka, events and conferences senior VP, CEA. “The WristRevolution TechZone will unveil this next generation of tech wearables.”

The WristRevolution TechZone will be located in the Las Vegas Convention and World Trade Center (LVCC) in South Hall 3. Current WristRevolution exhibitors include Burg Limited, Cookoo, Dennco Brands, Kronoz, MetaWatch, Neptune and Qualcomm Toq
