Burbank, Calif. – Ceiva Logic unveiled Monday new features
for the Ceiva Snap for iOS app that will allow users to send photos seamlessly
from iOS devices directly to Ceiva connected photo frames.
Ceiva apps are included as part of the company’s PicturePlan
Photo Delivery Service that comes with each Ceiva connected digital photo
New features on the Ceiva Snap v. 2.2 for iOS include the ability
to create narrated photo captions and decorative borders, and to place stickers
on photos before sending them off to family and friends.
In addition to the iOS
app, a version of Ceiva Snap will soon be available on Android phones as well,
the company said.
Ceiva Photos, which is the app that allows displaying Ceiva pictures
in a slideshow while on the go, is also now available for the Kindle Fire, in
addition to already being available on iOS and Android phones.
With this app, customers can access all the photos on their Ceiva
frames and in their online photo albums on their iOS devices and soon on Android
phones and Kindle Fire tablets.
New iPad users of Ceiva Photos v. 1.2 now have updated graphics
capability, while all users can now save photos from the app to their device.
Ceiva Logic was launched in 2000 by former Disney executives looking
to link the world through digital photography. The company’s technology offers
the ability to send images to Ceiva frames from photo-sharing sites like
Facebook, Flickr and Shutterfly.
The company’s PicturePlan Photo Delivery Service allows its
digital frames to stream photos sent from members and invited guests. Members can also subscribe to any of Ceiva’s
content channels, including ESPN, MLB Sports Scores, Mashable and others, to send
customized greeting cards.
A PicturePlan lifetime warranty enables replacing or fixing a frame
for free. Ceiva frames connect via Wi-Fi, Ethernet or telephone line, and are now
on sale with the CeviaShare one-year photo sharing service for $99.95; a Ceiva
Pro 80 offers one-year of service for $119 with up to a 20 percent discount for
Ceiva Multipacks. After the first year, service plans carry a $6.95 monthly fee.
