CEDIA Urges Expo Attendees To Help Flood Victims

Denver – CEDIA is urging those attending CEDIA Expo here next week and the entire industry to donate money to HelpColoradoNow.com due to the floods in the area.

CEDIA Expo 2013 is scheduled for September 25-28, here, and in a statement the organization said, “Although the event has not been impacted by the recent floods in Colorado, many of our members and fellow industry professionals have been impacted.”

The group also provided a flood update information from the city of Denver and advised attendees to check CEDIA Expo website for the most recent information regarding the event.

As of today none of the major flooding in Colorado is within 20 miles of Denver and there is no current impact on Denver International Airport or on any of the roads and highways into downtown Denver. The vast majority of Colorado is open and not impacted by the flooding, including major resort areas such as Aspen, Vail, Beaver Creek, Steamboat, Breckenridge, Copper Mountain, Keystone and Winter Park.

The statement also said that updates on areas that have been impacted by recent rains and flooding in Colorado can be found via the Colorado Division of Emergency Management website at COEmergency.com or on Twitter at @COEmergency. Updated information on road closures can be found at ColoradoDOT.info.
