CEA Washington Forum To Be Held April 21-23

Washington — The Consumer Electronics Association (CEA) will honor Congressmen Roy Blunt (R-Mo.) and Gregory Meeks (D-N.Y.) during its annual Digital Patriots Awards dinner, which is part of its Washington Forum, to take place here on April 21 to 23.

The Forum, to be held at the JW Marriott on Pennsylvania Avenue, focuses on technology policy priorities in the new Administration. It is an opportunity for the technology industry to interact with leaders on Capitol Hill and gain a focused understanding of critical issues facing the consumer electronics industry, including the DTV transition, CEA said.

The fifth annual Digital Patriots Dinner, honoring Representatives Blunt and Meeks, will begin at 6:30 p.m., Wednesday, April 22. The dinner also will honor inductees into the DTV Academy.

Other key speakers and sessions during the Forum include: reception and dinner at the Newseum, at 7:00 p.m., Tuesday, April 21; keynote address by David Plouffe, campaign manager, Obama for America, at 12 p.m., Wednesday, April 22; and keynote addresses by Paul Begala, political analyst, CNN, and Tucker Carlson, senior political correspondent, MSNBC, at 12 p.m., Thursday, April 23
