CEA’s Chupka Honored For CES

Arlington, Va. — Karen Chupka, the Consumer Electronic Association’s (CEA) events and conferences senior VP, won the 2007 International Association of Exhibitions and Events’ (IAEE) Outstanding Achievement in Industry Leadership Award.

She is being given the award for her work with the 2007 International CES, which, according to CEA, was “the largest trade show in North America measured by both international attendance and square footage.”

“Karen helps ensure the continued success of the International CES with her innovative strategies and the constant pursuit of excellence she displays on a daily basis,” said Gary Shapiro, CEA’s president/CEO. “The outstanding achievements of the 2007 show are in great part due to Karen’s dedication to growing the consumer electronics industry. She is a tradeshow industry leader and I heartily congratulate her on this well-deserved honor.”

Chupka will be honored at Expo! Expo!, IIAE’s annual meeting and exhibition, Dec. 10 in Las Vegas.
