Sony’s Hirai To Keynote At 2014 CES

LOS ANGELES — Kazuo Hirai, Sony Corp. president and CEO, will deliver the opening morning Tech Titans keynote address at the 2014 International CES. Hirai’s address will take place at 8:30 a.m. Tuesday, Jan. 7, in the Venetian’s Palazzo Ballroom in Las Vegas directly following a State of the Industry Address by Gary Shapiro, CEA president and CEO.

Menounos Named CES Entertainment Ambassador

LOS ANGELES — Maria Menounos will serve as the Entertainment Matters ambassador for the 2014 International CES, according to CEA. Entertainment Matters is a content- focused CES program developed for Hollywood’s film, television and digital communities, which includes the Screen Actors Guild – American Federation of Television and Radio Artists (SAG-AFTRA) as the associate sponsor.

Borenstein, HealthSpot Named CEA Innovation Entrepreneurs

LOS ANGELES — Bruce Borenstein, CEO of AfterShokz, was named Small Business Executive of the Year and HealthSpot was named Small Business of the Year at the second annual Innovation Entrepreneur Awards (IEA) by the Consumer Electronics Association (CEA). Launched in 2012, the awards program recognizes entrepreneurs and leading businesses with revenues less than $30 million and the contributions they make to the U.S. economy.

CEA Foundation Add Payfer, West To Its Board

LOS ANGELES — The Consumer Electronics Association (CEA) Foundation elected of Jane Rodmyre Payfer, chief marketing officer at Ergotron, and Skip West, president and founder of Maxsa Innovation, to its board of trustees.
