Arlington, Va. -
The Consumer Electronics Association (CEA) will host the inaugural TechHome Mediterraneo Summit, to be held in Stresa, Italy, a resort town located on Lake Maggiore, one hour north of Milan.
The TechHome Mediterraneo Summit, a three-day conference focused on the custom installation market in Southern Europe, will run Oct. 3-5, 2011.
"The TechHome Mediterraneo Summit will enable companies looking to expand into the European custom electronics industry to experience the marketplace first-hand," said Gary Shapiro, president and CEO, CEA. "Our goal for this new venture is to spur new business opportunities for U.S. and European companies alike in this dynamic and growing custom electronics market."
Roberto Salari of Salari S.r.l., a custom electronics integrator based in suburban Milan, Italy and member of the CEA TechHome Mediterraneo advisory board, said, "Italian custom integrators are looking forward to connecting with CEA members and association leaders next October."
Salari added, "CEA and its TechHome division have helped build the US and international custom electronics market for more than a decade. We're excited about the online media CEA has already launched for our market and know the production of the TechHome Mediterraneo Summit will prove to be a watershed moment in the development of the Italian custom electronics market."
The TechHome Mediterraneo Summit will be co-located with CEA's 2011 CEO Summit and Board Retreat, an invite-only event for consumer technology leaders focused on relationship-building, roundtable discussions and market research. Details on the 2011 CEO Summit and Board Retreat will be available later this fall.
