NEW YORK — Manhattan will become a hot spot of technology later this month, when CE Week kicks off on June 22. The event features exhibitors conferences and demonstrations at the Metropolitan Pavilion, piggybacked by tabletop shows and press conferences held around the city.

What follows is a preview of some of the newly introduced and newly shipping devices that will be on display throughout the various events that week. Keep an eye on TWICE.com for more news and details.

The 3DSimo Mini from 3DSimo is a portable 3D pen powered via USB or a 1.5-amp battery pack. Several different tips can be snapped on for a variety of uses, including 3D drawing and soldering, and the pen can be used with about a dozen different materials. The accompanying iOS and Android app lets users set the temperature and feeding speed of the device.

The House of Marley Chant Mini Bluetooth speaker, which recently began shipping, has a 1.5-inch driver, passive radiator, lithium-ion battery with six hours of playtime, aux input and a built-in mic for speakerphone capability. Keeping in theme with the company’s other products, the Chant Mini is constructed from eco-friendly materials. Suggested retail is $49.99.

The Active Lens from Olloclip, which is designed for use with the iPhone 6 or 6 Plus, features both ultra-wide and telephoto lenses, the latter of which carries a 2x optical zoom. Suggested retail is $99.99.

WowWee’s app-enabled Robotic Enhanced Vehicles (REV) are able to navigate surroundings using proprietary BeaconSense technology, and consumers can control the cars with smartphones to interact in a variety of games. A starter kit comes with two vehicles for a $99.99 suggested retail; there is also an Autonomous Mode for the second vehicle for those who want some solo play.

Zettaly will have its Avy “smart speaker” on display, a former Kickstarter campaign (and TWICE Watch List graduate) that began shipping to consumers this month. The Bluetooth speaker features a 7-inch touchscreen and built-in Wi-Fi to download apps from Google Play. Suggested retail is $199.
