Capitol Begins Carrying Panasonic LCD TVs

Eagan, Minn. –
Capitol, CE distributor for residential systems and light commercial
contractors, reported it is offering Panasonic’s new line of LCD displays that
were originally announced during International CES in January.

The LCD line features no fewer than 15 FullHD 1080p LCD
models, with 13 models featuring LED backlighting and seven that are
3D-capable, including three models in the ET5 series that are Panasonic’s first
displays to employ passive 3D glasses technology.

“Panasonic came into CES with both guns blazing, and now
we’re reaping the benefits of their ingenuity and unerring attention to
consumer appeal,” said Jeff Kussard, Capitol’s strategic development director.
“The company deserves a lot of credit for injecting a substantial amount of
excitement into an established category. Every one of these models will appeal
to end users who are ready to upgrade their displays or simply add a TV to
another room in the house.”

Panasonic’s LCD lineup
features larger screen sizes — 47- and 50-inch models, up from the previous
maximum of 42 inches. Two of the larger models — the 47-inch TC-L47WT50 and
55-inch TC-L55WT50 — are part of the advanced WT50 series of large-screen TVs.

The seven 3D-capable models
are part of the ET5 series of products. Along with the three new passive 3D
models, the three new ET5 displays feature 120Hz IPS panel and Viera Connect
with built-in Wi-Fi and browser.

“Capitol is more than just a
trusted distribution partner,” said Peter Erdman, distributor and buying
group sales VP, Panasonic Consumer Electronics. “The
unshakable bond they share with their customers gives them tremendous insight
into market needs. Their input is an invaluable factor in both our product
design and go-to-market strategies. The new LCD line is inspired in part by the
feedback they receive every day.”
