Capitol Adds Sherwood Brands, Revises Website

Eagan, Minn.
– Capitol has added Sherwood America’s Sherwood and Newcastle brand audio/video
receivers  (AVRs) and has revamped its
website.

Capitol, a CE distributor for residential systems and light
commercial contractors, retailers and premium incentive resellers, will offer Sherwood’s
complete line of AVRs to dealers and integrators throughout the U.S., while the
company’s Newcastle selection is available to all customers with the exception
of those on the east coast.

Jeff Kussard, Capitol’s strategic development director, said
Sherwood America “consistently develops and markets AVRs that pack leading-edge
technologies and reliability into affordable components that offer solid
margins for the dealer. As both a distributor and as an audio enthusiast, I
think Sherwood is one of the top vendors servicing this category.”

In its statement, Capitol said Sherwood’s Newcastle A/V
receivers are “designed for home-theater fans who demand high performance and
unshakable reliability from electronics that live up to the mission of the
line: use the best parts; get the basics right; make it easy to use. Newcastle
is a favorite among custom specialists who laude the installation-friendly
features and sonic output that is well beyond competing products in their price
range.”

The distributor also described the Sherwood brand receivers
as “the full spectrum of home-theater formats and capabilities in a myriad of
models, making it easy for the consumer to select the right receiver for the
right price.”

In addition, Capitol has completely revised and rebuilt its

website

,
offering the company’s customers an interactive user experience with multiple
opportunities to expand their knowledge base as well as get access to feedback
from Capitol’s sales and technical team.

The new site is designed as a communications pathway between
Capitol and the hundreds of dealers, integrators and installers the company
serves, Capitol said.

“The new website comes as a direct result of customer
input,” said Kussard.  “They asked for a
simple to navigate, content-rich site that allows them quick and easy access to
relevant technical and marketing materials, multimedia training and product
demos, and input from Capitol’s team of technology experts.”

Capitolsales.com offers direct communication between Capitol
and its dealers. Company executives will contribute to a blog that addresses
all aspects of the residential and commercial sides of technology installation
and integration.
