Canon Introduces 5 LCD Projectors

introduced Wednesday five multimedia LCD projectors that are said to offer
high-brightness, easy setup and affordable pricing.

The new models include the LV-8225 ($799 suggested retail),
LV-7490 ($1,099), LV-7390 ($799), LV-7295 ($699) and LV-7290 ($599). All ship
in April.

Each model is targeted at value-conscious business and
institutional users.

Common features in each model include auto setup for signal
input, PC signal type, and vertical-keystone correction; up to 6,000 hours of
lamp life in quiet mode (5,000 hours for the LV-7490); up to 5,500 hours of air
filter life in Eco mode; wide-Angle 1.2x zoom projection lens; manual zoom and
focus; 29dB quiet operation; easy-install lamp and direct power-on; multiple
inputs; RJ-45 network connectivity; and RS-232C serial connectivity.

The LV-8225 offers WXGA (1,280 by 800) resolution and a 16:10
widescreen aspect ratio. Brightness is rated at 2,500 lumens.

The LV-7490 offer XGA resolution (1,024 by 768) and 4,000 lumens
of brightness.

The LV-7390, LV-7295 and LV-7290 offer XGA resolution and
brightness levels of 3,000, 2,600 and 2,200 lumens, respectively.

Each projector is covered by Canon U.S.A.’s Triple P (Projector
Protection Program), a free service program that provides a loaner projector of
equal or greater value to the end user in the event his projector needs to be
repaired.
